I’m Ryder Thomas, a 16-year-old self-taught visual storyteller working across cinematography, photography, and design. I handle planning, shooting, editing, and color end-to-end so film and still work share a consistent visual language.

Since I was young, storytelling has been central to everything I consumed—from books to film, I found inspiration in all of it. I was amazed by the way authors created entire worlds with words alone, but I found myself wanting to shape stories visually. That pull led me to film, photography, and graphic design as my main forms of expression, and I’ve been exploring visual storytelling ever since.
I work visually because it allows me to communicate emotion and meaning in ways words cannot. Through image, motion, and design, I use light, composition, and environment to guide how a viewer feels before anything is said. I am especially drawn to cinematography, where small shifts in light or framing can completely change the mood of a scene. Across all my work, I treat the camera and frame as a voice, not a record.
As I continue to develop as an artist, I focus on building atmosphere and cohesive worlds through visuals, sound, and pacing, using them not as background elements, but as essential parts of the story.
Available for new shoots, edits, and collaborations. I handle look, crew, and delivery so every piece shares one visual language.
